National Botanical Garden of Iran<\/strong> (Persian<\/a>: \u0628\u0627\u063a \u06af\u06cc\u0627\u0647\u200c\u0634\u0646\u0627\u0633\u06cc \u0645\u0644\u06cc \u0627\u06cc\u0631\u0627\u0646) is a Botanical Garden<\/a> in Tehran<\/a>, Iran<\/a>. Its area is about 150 hectares and is planned to be the main center for horticulture<\/a> and plant taxonomy<\/a> in Iran. A herbarium<\/a> of Iranian plants (TARI) is gradually being built up and now consists of some 160,000 numbers. Also there are gardens of non-Iranian plants such as Himalayan, American, Japanese, African, and Australian.[1]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The garden also contains an\u00a0arboretum<\/a>, Six lakes, hills (to represent the\u00a0Alborz<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Zagros mountains<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Himalayas<\/a>), rock garden, a\u00a0waterfall<\/a>, a\u00a0wetland<\/a>,\u00a0desert<\/a>\u00a0plants areas, a salt lake and a\u00a0wadi<\/a>, a\u00a0river<\/a>\u00a0about 1\u00a0km long, systematic area, fruit garden, picnic area with some\u00a0pavilions<\/a>\u00a0and other facilities. The botanical and horticultural\u00a0library<\/a>\u00a0has more than 11,000 volumes.<\/p>\n\n\n
